Description

King & Country. World War II.  Operation Market Garden. 1/30th scale (60mm)

Willys JEEP complete with two British paratroopers in the front driving seats backed up by another Para hitching a ride on the side of the vehicle.
Eagle-eyed collectors can also see that this particular JEEP is also carrying ammunition boxes, an additional pair of Lee Enfield rifles and two small, loose backpacks (obviously belonging to the driver and his mate).
Being towed behind this JEEP is another, much requested item – a British 6 Pounder Anti-Tank Gun. This is K&C’s third and latest version of this iconic Ordnance Quick-Firing 6 Pdr. Gun.
Serving throughout the Second World War it was the primary anti-tank gun of both the British and United States armies (where it was classified as the 57mm gun) and was also used as the main armament for a number of Allied armoured fighting vehicles.
Although designed before WWII it did not see action until the North African Campaign in April 1942.
